This could be the most effective web site we noticed all day long.
I was cleaning out my computer the other day and came across some old photos and of course I immediately got distracted from my task and started looking at all these moments that I captured. Lots of these photos have some rough Instagram filters but I will always cherish these photos as it reminded me how much I have been fortunate to experience. But one photo really caught my eye. It wasnt anything crazy just our living room with a tv dinner tray. And thats when I started to get a little teary-eyed. This photo was probably just a random photo that I took one afternoon after getting home from my 9-5 and then posted on Instagram just to share my day. It probably didnt feel that special at the time. This was my first official workspace. It was nothing fancy and it definitely kept our living room (and the dinning table behind the couch) and constant mess. Both these areas in our 1-bedroom apartment were chaos notebooks filled with sketches, planners with my to-dos listed, post-it notes with reminders, and as always a few dirty coffee mugs sprinkled throughout the workspace. Sorry, Nick! :) This workspace also saw me working crazy hours after my regular job. It saw me cry tears of frustration, me yelling at my planner because I couldnt accomplish everything, and saw the moments that I felt that I wasnt good enough to do this. But it also saw some amazing things it was where I took my first phone call with an actual paying client, it was the place where I learned new skills and gained confidence, and most importantly it was right here where I worked those late hours to create something that I was passionate about. This photo that past me took so long ago in our little apartment really spoke to present me. It was a reminder that I needed as Ive been battling with some rough patches. This little workspace reminded me how far I have grown. I started a business out of a spontaneous decision it was just something to make a little extra cash. Never did I dream I could actually operate a business, but this space gave me the courage to do it. Its something that I needed to be reminded of and Im so happy that I can look back at little moments like this and remind myself how how much I truly have. So I will continue to grow at my own pace and I will always keep reminding myself of how lucky I am to have something I am so passionate about. xo, Melissa http://www.blushandjelly.com/blog/2017/06/growth.html
